New signings all ready if needed as Swans head to Hull City

Luke Williams says he has all three of his new signings ready and available should he decide to call on them at Hull tomorrow where the Swans boss will go in search of his first league win since arriving in SA1.

One draw and three defeats have been the return from his four league encounters to date and he enters a big week – the Swans host Leeds and Ipswich next week – looking for the win that will hopefully place more gap between us and the relegation zone.

With a week gap between the defeat last week against Plymouth, it has been a chance for the three transfer window signings and they are now ready to face the promotion chasing Tigers at the MKM Stadium.

Speaking to the press today ahead of the game Williams appeared in positive mood after a good week with his squad and when asked about his new signings he said “Itโ€™s encouraging to see them in training and it was good to see them on the weekend. Theyโ€™re all ready to play tomorrow if called upon.

Ronald stood out, he created some good actions. Heโ€™s doing well. He has a translator and is in English lessons once a week. Iโ€™m happy that he understands what weโ€™re asking from him.

“The players are training with enthusiasm and desire. Theyโ€™re a good group and theyโ€™re ready to improve performances and results. Iโ€™m focused on getting the team to play at a high level.”

Despite their sixth place position in the league, Hull have been beaten six times in their last eleven games and Williams will be hoping to make that seven in twelve in the game tomorrow, one that he expects to be a challenging one.

“We have worked on our game plan and we believe in ourselves. We expect a tough match, but we are going there to be competitive and to try to win the game.

“The manager has done a great job there. Heโ€™s a talented manager and coach.

“We have to play consistently well. My objective is to keep improving performances.

“Weโ€™re optimistic about the future. Day-in, day-out, we work hard, look to play good football, and look to improve our margins.”
