It’s Hull City next for Luke’s Swans – latest news and travel information

The Swans head towards the Humber this weekend as they take their poor league form to one of the sides that are currently chasing a play-off place as the race for promotion to the Premier League starts to hot up.

The Swans on the other hand are looking nervously over their shoulders after three straight league defeats that leaves us just five points ahead of the relegation places and also leaves Luke Williams still looking for his first league win as Swansea manager more than a month into his reign.

When Williams was confirmed as the replacement for Michael Duff at the start of January he would have hoped for easier challenges than Southampton, Bournemouth and Leicester but unfortunately whilst all of those three ended in defeat the side has also failed to register more than a solitary point against Birmingham and Plymouth.

The trip to Hull represents the first of three games in a week but all three are against sides currently in the top six with Leeds and Ipswich visiting the Swansea.com Stadium after the weekend fixture.ย  ย  The games aren’t coming easier and the pressure on the Swans to produce a result from at least one of them is starting to grow more than any of us would have liked.

Williams will face the press later today to give his views ahead of the game before the Swans head off tomorrow for the match at the weekend.

Despite their lofty position in the league, Hull’s form remains a little indifferent with five wins and six defeats in their last eleven Championship fixtures with a FA Cup replay defeat to Birmingham sandwiched in there as well.ย  That probably tells you much about the Championship this season with the top four very clear of the chasing pack and then just five points separating Hull in 6th and Cardiff in 13th.ย  ย So whilst the Swans should certainly be wary of a trip to the side in sixth place they should certainly go into the game with the belief that they can get something from the fixture no matter what our recent form suggests.

JackHarris has had our matchday thread up and running since the start of the week and has all the information you need to know if you are planning on heading towards the MKM Stadium on Saturday to back the Swans.ย  ย Why not share your views in the thread or take a read of his information below.

There are also road closures planned on the M42 if making the trip – you can find the latest here
