• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

If the money is fine, then don't see why not. Contributed enough last season to show his worth to the squad.
Yep. He looked good at times, and sometimes excellent and the best player on the pitch. Age/fitness is obviously a concern, yet he won’t be playing all the time and is probably valuable to have in the dressing room.

We needed to be tough with this one.
Key, Abdullai, Parker and now Naughton all capable of playing at Right back!
Even if Parker moves on then we are still left with 3 right backs when we need to be cutting our wage bill down or manoeuvring to allow us to strengthen in other areas.

From my experience watching them Parker is very exciting in an attacking sense and would be better off being an understudy to Ronald on the right wing.

Abdulai has been used in the first team mostly at right back but apparently central defensive midfield is his preferred position.

Having options that can cover right back but are better off in other positions is not exactly a bad thing. We needed experienced cover for Key and Naughton is both extremely experienced and inexpensive allowing us to focus our transfer efforts elsewhere.

Only Key and Naughton are right-backs in that list (or even defenders). And given both Key and Naughton have had long injury lay-offs, we might even bring someone else in as well, or just rely on someone from another position stepping in if needed (like Darling or maybe the other players you mention).

If we hadn't re-signed Naughton, we would have needed to sign another right back anyway IMO.

Happy with that.
Can cover right across the back. Better than bringing in another Fin Stevens or Ashby on loan.
Can remember the play off game against Barnsley in a half empty stadium, he was right in front of us and screaming his head off at Grimes and Fulton for not moving. Need more of that.
