• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

On the basis, who do you think ranks higher for the Swans? Bony for the longevity and sell on fee, or Michu for... being Michu?

Bony for me all day.

The skill and ball control for a bloke that size was unbelievable

Bony was the better centre forward. Michu more effective arriving late in the box.

Always been a tragedy that we didn't see more of them together. One of Laudrup's odder tactical choices.

If you base the decision on anything other than nostalgia or sentiment, the answer is Bony. He scored more goals, earned us a lovely big profit when we sold him, etc. Just don't mention the decision to bring him back.

Having said all that, I am basing it on nostalgia and so my answer is Michu. It's a shame it was only really the one season, but what a season it was. The goals against QPR on the opening day, the goals against Arsenal, scoring at Stamford Bridge in the semi-final, so many other important goals, the celebration. Also being so important in the single best season I've ever had watching the Swans with having a football legend managing the club, winning a trophy, the first half against WBA that was football porn, etc...

This. ⬆️

If City had bought Michu off us at his best, he would have scored goals for fun in that team. Bony went there and looked like a fish out of water.

Michu all day for me, Had more to his all round game, didn't really play as an out and out striker like Bony, he would pick up and drive from midfield, start attacks and finish them and he had far more important memorable moments. He was injured and started having problems in his second season which hindered him and probably his stats, his second season was much like Bony's second stint I think. If we excluded the disastrous 2nd stint for bony, then the stats are.
Bony Played 69 G34 A9
Michu Played 67 G28 A11
So quite comparable.
