With the new service starting this season I am interested to know whether it will be possible to record a game being shown on Sky Sports+. Anyone out there know?

Take for example the Carabao Cup games on Tuesday 13th. Looking on Football on TV website, it seems all games for this date are on the Sky Sports+ service. I'm assuming you will go to the main channel on your EPG then select the game you want from a list. But will you be able to record this in advance?

Looks like only the main matches by the answer posted

Yes I saw this but equally others say it is entirely possible, plus I think the capability of Sky and the SkyQ box has changed over the years

Not sure as we couldn't record matches on the red button last season.

Maybe things will change

If I was a betting man, and having been a Sky customer for 20-odd years, the reply to that question is about right. You won't be able to record games not shown as 'first choice' ie on the main channel itself. I'd be amazed if it lets you do more than that.

Sky are always a bit behind the times tech wise - the Red Button coverage was absolute crap, considering it's 2024. Any improvement on that, even HD broadcasts, would be a plus.

What we all thinking of the Sky + coverage so far?
Had a look at all four games and looks decent, a few different camera angles on the lower league games.

Definitely an improvement on the SD with no replays crap we've seen previously
