• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Anyone got experience in using it on a weekend, off down to near Yeovil, but calling into a place near to M32 first so wondering if its better than M5 which can be a nightmare.?

My experience is that the biggest problem is getting out of Wales. Last Saturday afternoon it took me 2 hours to get from Junction 32 of M4 to Chepstow due to tailbacks at Brynglas and Coldra (when there wasn't even a reason for them like an accident, lane closure or breakdown). Not that we need a new M4...

Use Google maps to tell you the quickest route. What’s quickest today might not be quickest on Saturday.

M32 would be ok but then to get to Yeovil is a pain from there even if the roads are ok. On a Saturday, M5 would normally be my pick for the South West. Coops is right about Google Maps though...obviously.

I can’t get on with Waze. Not sure why that is but I rarely use it.
To be fair, I couldn't initially. My 3 adult kids swore by it so I have persevered and now that I also understand Android Auto in the car a bit better I wouldn't use anything else. AA has an added advantage in that it reads out WhatsApp messages to me and allows me to speak my reply.

That’s something lm not gonna look forward to hoping to leave early so who knows, l may leave my idea of a detour, see what it’s like at the time and of course the weather

The M4 eastbound will be busy Saturday morning as the holidaymakers return from down west. Expect east of Cardiff to be snarled up until you get passed Coldra.

I shall give it another bash.

Better yet, download Waze from the Play Store.
Waze is great for letting you know about any police in the area, it's not so great when it comes to identifying the quickest route or if junctions are closed.

You'll be fine, mun. We all know you love driving at 20 mph :ROFLMAO:
Got sent to cardigan late yesterday morning and was stuck in traffic queuing to cross roundabout on that dual carriage way between Cross Hands and the said roundabout leading to Carmarthen, lost about 12 minutes, job didn't take long though, hr 45mins home though, home before 4 so not bad.
