• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I can't remember the last time I had steak...peppercorn sauce is nice on chicken and on chips.

Ah man, you can't ruin a perfectly seasoned steak by pouring that shite on it. 😉
Innit, Mrs paid 27 quid for three steaks on Wednesday for tonight's tea and the thought of pouring a sauce over it makes my eyes itch, madness I tell tee, pure madness,

It's sacrilege to ruin a good steak.

Some of them on here have a long way to go. It's just as well the likes of us are here to point them in the right direction. 😉

They won't listen though Smuphy, any way where's ECB I was expecting a post of two from him on the subject, he loves a good steak I bet, him and Jaxxs without a doubt.

27 quid will just about get you a bog standard steak in Miller & Carter, if your thinking about splashing out for a prime cut steak you'd probably have to be prepared to sell a kidney or something...

Steak sauces are for dipping. If you’re pouring them over your steak you’re doing it wrong.

Mrs C and I went to M and C earlier in the year. Just shy of £100 for two steaks and a few beers. And it wasn’t all that. Would’ve got the same in the Marquis for well less than half that. I won’t go back. Robbing twats.

I’ve been away all week with work. But never fear, I’m back now. The forum is saved. 🤣

The chips are nicer in the Marquis too 😋

I’m only partial to a M&C when someone else is paying.

Yeah average at best every time I’ve visited one of those places. I’d rather traditional pub grub than go there. Plus you have to post it on social media to say you’ve been there, theme the rules 🙄
