• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Snap.

Gutted German done kebab left the Uplands.
I heard good things about that place but never tried it. Not had a kebab for years actually, but what set that place apart from your standard doner kebab shop?

Did you finish it? Looks lovely
I gave the missus a slice, because she only had pasta, but yes I did finish it. We went across the road after to a fabulous ice cream shop and I had a cone with zuppe inglesi (trifle flavour) and chocolate.
Going to do a lot of walking today to burn it off!

Here we go to start my Italian culinary tour. A small pizza in restaurante Il Valerio, Bologna.

I just showed this photo to your mate and he said “The dr told you last year to stop having dinner parties for 4 unless there are at least 3 other people present.” 😂

They're nothing like your typical kebab shop found in Wind Street. The quality of the food was more of a premium quality of that makes sense for a kebab shop.

The meat is beef rather than lamb along with chicken. They seems to be a national chain so if you like that type of food I would highly recommend giving them a try if you get the chance.

Went to Rome in September and indulged in some of the nicest food on the planet.

Enjoy the walking, make sure you've got enough space left to get stuck in to some quality tucker again, tonight 😉

Nearly booked to go to Sorento 18 months ago, but decided to stick to what we usually do and pop off to the Balearics this time it was Menorca, never again wasn't much in the area we stayed in and it was far to quiet.
The fact that Sorento was hilly put us off as well

Sorrento is beautiful, if you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommend it.

We've always liked seaside resorts, the seaside air and space along with the heat is lovely, plus the swimming which I really in joy can't beat a swim in the sea abroad, Mrs not that bothered but for me its one of the best parts of the holiday.

We both enjoy the beach, didn't miss visiting it whilst in Sorrento though. There's a few if you really want to head there, bit of a logistical nightmare if you're as lazy as I am.

A hotel with a pool is a must. Can't fault relaxing in the sun by the side of a pool.

Round Two. Ragu bolognese in Osteria dell'Orso, Bologna. That plus lasagne for missus, half a litre of red wine and bottle of water, 27€. Can't fault it.
No ice cream tonight though, my guts are still aching from last night.
Ciao!
