• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Looking at this Greece England game tonight, and the Greece fans continually whistling and booing when England have the temerity of having the ball and trying to score a goal against their team...

I find it so fkn annoying. It is stupid, infantile, ungentlemanlike and frankly gets on my tits. As far as I am aware it is quite a recent thing.

Other teams with fans that do this are Liverpool, and the worst offenders in the UK are Man fkn City. Absolute tw*ts they are..Check them out at they're next Premier League game.

Get a grip you prix..stop whining when you ain't got the ball dickheads!

I wish our place would show some hostility to the opposition. I'm getting a little bored with us showering adulation on players like Ryan Manning when they return with opposing clubs.
I broadly agree with this.

If they're a club legend fair enough give them some respect, but if they only passed through for a season or two then give em some stick.

It's like players who won't celebrate against their old clubs - grow up.

The modern game has become very sanitised in certain parts. Irritating.

Club legends, I agree. It's about respect.

I'm embarrassed when mercenaries like Manning get applauded when taking corners for their new clubs and the chants of "You Jack bastard".

It's like when someone puts a tackle in or clears it for a corner, half a dozen teammates slap his hand . Ffs ,just get on with the game. It's pathetic.

Let's go with an old favourite: the adulation some of our fans gave Frank Lampard for gracing us with a whopping 11 loan games at the start of his career...

Pretty sure some fans cheered when Bony scored against us. I could be making that up.

The other odd thing is fans applauding when one of your players heads or chest a ball back to their own keeper meaning he can pick it up. Is it really such an amazing piece of skill

Possibly. There are plenty of ‘big team’ fans knocking around with season tickets. Some still have them and the seats have been empty for years. They’ll be back if we go up again. It’s very odd behaviour.

Probably the same ones who used to leave the ground with minutes to go and we were holding on to a 2-1 lead against the likes of Man Utd and arsenal.

Fans booing the opposition is very 1980s, in fairness, and created a good old hostile atmosphere.

It's all about taking cocaine and wearing the finest Stone Island money can buy for the present-day football hooligan.

Take me back in a time machine all day long, any day, in my book...
