• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

There’s a red weather wind warning issued for Swansea and west Wales, timing is 03:00 to 11:00 tomorrow. The last one of these pretty much demolished the garden, but there were those worse off than us. Stay safe out there folks, necessary journeys only.

60mph forecast here. No Severn Bridge Parkrun for me tomorrow...

Edit, or anyone as just seen it's cancelled. Not surprised, they'd end up in Portishead.

Bet there will be people down the seafront watching 30ft waves crashing around them.

We’ve got a couple of construction project with huge amounts of external scaffold on them, my arse is going to be twitching all weekend.

Fingers crossed especially for those who have only just got over the last lot of flooding.

Just been informed that they are sending everyone home from work at 2am because of the storm, that's my kind of nightshift.
Nice one Darragh 👍

Before we started naming storms as if they were hurricanes, we’d have all woken up tomorrow morning, looked out of the window and thought “rough old day today” and got on with our days as planned unless we were doing something particularly dangerous.

I absolutely agree!
But H&S has taken over nowadays and I'm going home early!
Happy Dayz 🥳

Full disclosure. Tesco has cancelled my shopping delivery cos of the weather and it means that I have to go to an actual shop tomorrow with actual other people and the very thought of that is horrifying me.
