A bit harsh on Cabango as he had 2 full.backs going AWOL and playing alongside a partner who hadn't even trained with the team.

It will be Cabango. He has been sighted for captain role for some time. Plus he has committed to us. What makes me sick is, Grimes was reported to be part of the group who convinced Ben to stay with us at a meeting. But then he himself wants gone. Team clearly have lost faith in the captain and manager.

I would say that there are two. One is leaving at the end of the season because he can and the other is probably leaving because he is retiring.
But Grimes is not a proper leader anyway

As for Joe, never been a leader. Great player back in the day but a follower, not a leader.

Er, nope can’t think of an obvious choice. Might as well try Cabango, but I’m not sure it’s his thing. Grimes will still be captain if he doesn’t leave. The players will be fine with that, it’s only fans who get their knickers in a twist (see also Williams never going to WBA gossip).

Travis at Blackburn was surplus to requirements last season - I’d go and get him and make him captain. But he’s been playing this year, so no chance.

Agree. The players have just cracked on with it since the WBA gossip with no apparent ill effects.
