Can’t remember, I’ve just tried searching for it but can’t see anything from the Trust, so may have got that wrong.

I would imagine having a train stop which is used by a relative few people once a fortnight is prohibitively expensive.

It'll get more footfall than some of the other mooted stations. Winch Wen for example....

I can vaguely remember it being a discussion point back in the day.

The station is already there and it's not like a new one needs building from scratch.

If a train passes through already, how expensive can it be to stop now and again? Other journeys through out the country have requested stops on their lines.

They could build a Christ the Redeemer statue on the hill at the same time, it’ll bring plenty of comfort etc

Brighton are a perfect example, think their stadium originally opened with a capacity of around what ours is, now it's about 30,000 . Don't understand Bournemouth , a brilliant team and manager but barely 12,000 can watch them. Loads of fans must be missing out there.

I always forget how small Bournemouths stadium actually is. It is quite incredible how they manage to hold their own in the top league.

I think match day income is a relatively small part of Premier League club income. This is the big complaint about Premier League versus Bundesliga where they sell match day tickets for £20 in an effort to support fan welfare. Whereas rip off Britain tries to charge fans £5 for a bottle of Pepsi, and you can’t even take the top home!
