• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Way better music afficionados here than myself, interested to hear your favs.
Top 3 for me
She sells sanctuary...The Cult
Right next time...Gerry Rafferty
Praying for time ...George Michael

Baba O’riley
Satisfaction
Whole lotta love

Sweet Child O’ Mine is a fave of mine

The seventy odd seconds of November Rain are pretty awesome.

But, Enter Sandman smashes everything out of the park. Saw Metallica live in Philadelphia what must now be fifteen years ago, and they rocked this.

Up Around The Bend - Creedence Clearwater Revival

The 1st minute of "Athens, France" by Black Country New Road is simply awesome, its a shame about the other 5 mins unfortunatley but thats the kind of band they are.

Just a few I’ve thought of there’s of course way more

Gimme shelter - Rolling Stones
I want you - Marvin Gaye
Invisible sun - The Police

Lots of suggestions already that I bloody adore. So I'm flailing around for those not mentioned.

"Tie Your Mother Down" by Queen.
"Book of Brilliant Things" by Simple Minds.
(And, because it's the best song I ever heard on the back seat of a Morris Marina...)
"Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" by Led Zeppelin.

Somebody asked a question on Twitter last week about the weirdest lyrics you’ve ever heard?

I’ve seen these and they were magnificent, this song is magnificent also imo but the start to this is bizarre.

“Hands are shakin got your finger on the trigger
Jesus ain't complainin gonna figure it out
Somebody raped my tapeworm abortion
Come on motherfuckers and deliver the cow”
