• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Loan spell over after the scan on his back.

He was on the pitch at the end of the game. Celebrating with the team. So must be a quick drive 😂. Otherwise he is heading back at some point, after today. Interesting though if he goes back. I was never a big fan of his slow play. Yes I know he scored last time... And he can pass a ball. But more than happy to give Eom time in that position, especially as he is our player.

He was ok, not that bothered he's heading back to Brentford if true.

A strange player. Mostly gash, ran like he was wading through treacle, weak in the challenge for a big lad, yet showed the occasional unexpected flash of class, like his goal against Blackburn. Not a premiership player IMHO and will probably move on soon. Not to us, please.
Played out of position since he arrived. Still young, physical and contributed goals. If he has gone then our squad is weakened further. Hope his injury isn’t too bad. Good luck fella.

Unfortunate for the lad that the majority of his time with us was with a manager completely out of his depth.

The likes of Ronald, Vip and even Eom look like completely different player now the shackles have been removed.

Good luck to him.

Shame we didn't see him play through the middle more often.

Weird player, showed moments that were good, some games he'd actually sprint and some games he'd trod along like he couldn't be bothered to be here.. he could pass the ball well, and then dribble on the halfway line and give some shockers away.. he's a bit like Darwin Nunez, you don't know what's going to happen

Was his time here a resounding success? No
Will he have taken a lot from his year with us? Yes

There are some experiences you can just never get unless you are out on loan or part of the first team setup (such as a change of manager). One of an ever increasing number of players that seemed like Williams had coached all of the skill and brilliance out of him for his robotic slavish addiction to possession stats.

Will he become a world beater? I don't think so but I think he will have a solid career and hopefully the tough times he went through here will help him in that regard

On reflection, a bit harsh saying he was mostly gash. Let's say underwhelming. Good luck to him.

I believe he is an excellent player he just hasn't quite had the motivation or appetite for it as much as he should. Managed correctly he will get there.

Agree with Vip and Eom. Our Ron looks no different to me.

Ronald has looked better now that he is allowed to try to take on his man.
Getting his attacking instinct back will take time after a year of Williams trying to stamp it out of him completely

Ronald still struggles with the end product.

The difference I've seen since Williams departure is his willingness to take the fullback on more than he has been doing.

Yet another one off the PL Academy conveyor belt who came here, did feck all, then went back.

The question is, when is someone at the club going to twig that 9 times out of 10, these expensive loan signings don't work?
