We're missing something today. Something like a marauding centre-midfield player, someone who brings everyone around him to an elite level and inspires those on the field with him - leading them on as a true captain, akin to a Roy Keane or Paulo Maldini. Someone who picks up the ball and instantly picks out positive, forward passes - creating chances when we need them most; someone like Xavi or Scholes.

We need someone like Matthew Grimes of Coventry City.

the thing is watching Burnley just shows what the board have to do to be on the same level as Burnley people off the field who know what they are doing and a squad with quality and depth, and of course a manager all of which will cost a fair bit of cash, this game highlights the huge gap from us to the top teams in this div , the new people need to be in place( chairman and manager) as soon as possible so the D O F knows what to plan for

You're right - what the Board need is the equivalent parachute payments to compete with Burnley.

To achieve a squad like Burnley's isn't gonna be done in one or two windows, its gonna take time and a lot of money, I just don't see it happening in the short term, I think us being a consistent top 10 Championship Team is what we should be aiming for. anything else is a bonus.
