Whatever, but these boats need stopping, the Country be bankrupt the way it's going and its the Taxpayer who'll be picking up the bill, especially with that cow Reeves and her boss the liar and no one can say that he and here hasn't lied, I detest the tories and this lot are catching them up quickly, can't stand any of them, snakes the lot of them. 700 more migrants (record for this year so far!) have arrived today, add that to the 656 that arrived on Saturday! That is a lot of hotel spaces.

Sometime in the near future the U.K will have completely run out of hotel spaces. I guess the next government plan will then be to build houses for them. That will create an even greater incentive to entice even more to come after that.

The additional worry is the illegal immigrant (Swansea judge's words) "epidemic" of crime. The U.K has become a safe haven and operational base for organised crime gangs, wanted fugitives and criminals.

Someone can commit murder overseas, go on the run, pay £3000 - £5,000 to a people smuggler, throw away I.D and create a new false I.D to start a new life paid for by British taxpayers. It is a national security risk and absolute disgrace. According to a poll 68% now think Britain is broken. The headlines in todays Sun newspaper says it all.

I don’t think anyone has said it doesn’t. What this thread does illustrate is how easy it is to dupe and radicalise ordinary, decent people and get them to convince themselves and others that their and the country’s problems are all solely and complete the fault of immigration and immigrants. There are examples throughout history of what this kind of propaganda can lead to and it’s very troubling. Facts become expendable and social media and WhatsApp group messages become received wisdom. I must wish people wouldn’t believe everything they read and read only everything they already believe.

That would only be the flip side if anyone was saying that everything is ok and that the crossing of boats is ok. But they’re not, which makes it a spurious argument and a nice illustration of the point I was making. There are two extremes here:

1 - were being invaded, this country is on its knees due to the small boats

2 - everything is fine, let the boats keep coming it’s not a problem.

I’ve seen loads saying 1, hardly anyone if anyone al all saying 2.

You mentioned that people are being radicalised. People aren't being they radicalised they've had enough.

This country is on its knees and the influx of people literally washing up on our shores every day has got to breaking point.

The liberal left were up in arms arms when the Rwanda scheme put in place by the previous government. The plan started to work though before Starmer ripped it up and offered zero as a replacement to the issue.

If these people on boats were genuine asylum seekers why don't they stay in the first safe country they reach or failing that spend the money on a flight to this country and seek asylum that way?

It would be hell of a lot safe and cheaper for them.
