• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Mclaughlin
Pedersen
Christie

Along with Allen and Naughton.

Thank god. Proper clear out needed.

I think owners are going for it next season

Franco sends a "thank you for everything" on X. That's him off then

That's a start. Means need a GK unless we use the Fish or Margetson which I am ok with as reserve.

Naughton and Christie gone means we need a utility defender capable of playing R&LB and filling in occasionally as center half. At the very least. Leaves Key & Tymon with no challengers but OK with that too.

I am no fan of the philosophy that says we need 2 GOOD players in every position. That for me belongs with teams playing 60 games a season and for big money ie Prem Lg, Champions Lge etc

Interesting take on McLaughlin, "Pedestrian" and Christie being released, personally I think its absolutely marvellous and another massive step in the right direction.
That’s £30k of weekly wages which can be much better spent elsewhere. These names hardly warrant a ‘thank you for your services’ comment.

Somehow I am not feeling that one. You wouldnt post a goodbye to twitter right after a game with the window not open until mid June. I mean if he was waving to the crowd after the game in a manner to indicate leaving then, but

My son wanted a home shirt with Allen on the back after today's game and seeing as he was willing to spend his own money, I was fine with it! We were waiting for the printing to be done and I noticed they had a handy squad number list on the counter.

I asked my boy if he was sure he didn't want Pederson and 3 rather than Allen 7. Unsurprisingly, I had to explain to him who Pederson was. Says it all about his time here.

Like you, I see this as a celebratory thread rather than a miserable one.

Arthur Parker just won the u21s player of the year award and he only this year stepped up to u18 level, he is capable of playing both right back and left back

If Fisher is happy being a number 2 behind Vigouroux next season I am fine with it, McLaughlin played in one game and he was absolutely shocking. A training cone would have been a better keeper

I am a firm believer in spend your money on your best starting 11. Spend the scraps that's left on back ups or use U21's

Our entire 40 player squad only cost us 3m and got us in the Premiere League in 2011 and 2m of that was spent on just 3 players and over 20 players never got on the pitch
