I can top that. The Blue Boar, just round the corner from Westminster Abbey, stung me for £8.40 for a pint or some Japanese lager a few weeks ago. I nearly fainted. And only had the one.Well, I'm sitting in the Captain Kidd pub, owned by the Samuel Smiths chain, in central London where I've just been charged £8.20 for a pint. However, in mitigation Captain Kidd was a famous pirate, the word 'Organic' is in the beer's name, and it's a riverside pub with a great view of the river if it was light enough to see anything. So that's OK then.
