Fiver a pint

Depends where you're drinking. I can still get a decent pint of ale in a Spoons for less than £2.50.

I was at the local Spoons yesterday, pint of real ale and a glass of wine was just short of £6. Very decent pint to be far, but Wifey wasn’t so keen on the wine.

I'm a member of CAMRA so I get £30 of vouchers per year to spend in Spoons, Stonegate and a few other pub co's. That takes it down to £1.75 a pint in most Spoons. It is what it is. Probably not a wine buff's preferred location but if you're just there for the beer you can't go wrong.

I was in benidorm last month, 1.50 euro a bottle was the cheapest one about.. it was Amstel and San Miguel

Only crusties and weirdos like room temperature beer. “Real ale” makes me shit through the eye of a needle.

It's the optimistic niche brigade, always something BIGGER, BETTER and LARGER one particular person has experienced that makes them so suave.. it's usually vegans, vegetarians and marathon runners or wine enthusiasts.. I'll eat from anywhere and drink from anywhere.. nothing comes into my head really about price, or how clean the place is.. but there's picky people everywhere, I don't give a f*ck how the ball hits the net, as long as it goes in.. but you'll always have that one in the crowd

And another thing, my grandfather once asked for a warm beer in a restaurant some years ago, the waiter must have thought WTF

Most IPA's and Pale Ales are served chilled, I don't drink them unless they are, what I order in or buy in Tesco I chill and its bloody lovely, been on Butcombe's Goram IPA tonight, I normally buy 8 Goram IPA Ales and 8 Liberation IPA, 500ml bottles very nice it is to, also buy State Session IPA and occasionally their Tall Tale Pale Ale 330ml bottles.

£14.95 for 8 for the 500ml bottles, the Tall Tale pale ales are £14.95 for 12, fiver postage, very reasonable for a drop of nice beer.

I keep my ales in a closed cupboard hence they're cool but not fridge cold. The fridge is where the lager and cider goes.

What's the point in Guinness Extra Cold? Were people seriously complaining that their Guinness was too warm?

If you're ever on holiday in Spain. check out this beer from Estrella Galicia. They have it on draught in my local bar in Pego. I liked it so much, I bought a six pack of 33cl bottles for €7.15 in Lidl, which is an unheard of price for packaged beers here, where you can still get cans of Lidl lager for about 25c each.

It's a 6.5% toffee brown beer in the style of a British bitter. Bluddy lovely straight from the fridge.

I like my Pale Ales and IPA's chilled, my MK1 Perfect draught machine takes the kegs down to 3 degrees, which is to cold though 5 to 8 degrees i find the best.

Apparently you can still find bars in Benidorm which sell lagers like Amstel or Fosters for 1€ a pint, or 500ml to be more accurate.
Around where I live, you're looking at 2€ a pint.

Still the odd one in Tenerife with 1 euro pints in the day, though 1.50 or 2 more usual. Well places I would want to go for Estrella or the local Dorada would be 2. Dorada Especial 2.50
