Well, I'm sitting in the Captain Kidd pub, owned by the Samuel Smiths chain, in central London where I've just been charged £8.20 for a pint. However, in mitigation Captain Kidd was a famous pirate, the word 'Organic' is in the beer's name, and it's a riverside pub with a great view of the river if it was light enough to see anything. So that's OK then.
I can top that. The Blue Boar, just round the corner from Westminster Abbey, stung me for £8.40 for a pint or some Japanese lager a few weeks ago. I nearly fainted. And only had the one.

Makes me feel a bit better about the £7.80 I paid for a Peroni in the Barrow Boy and Banker just off London Bridge. But not much

Makes no odds to me i dont drink, on top of that i gave up smoking 18 months ago, im fvckin minted.😁👍

Our local is running a happy hours (plural) promo of Inch’s at £3 a pint. It’s been very popular over the last few weeks of beer garden weather.

Silk cut silver was my vice, apparently they are nearly 20 quid a pop, fvck that for a game of soldiers.👍
Twenty quid for a pack of fags, my word!

That’s a long way from an 8p single on the way to school.
