• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Could be coming in as assistant coach.
Currently with Celtic.

What I like about this is that he is from the Brendan academy of coaching.. should mean his ethos is aligned with positive possession based football…👍

Looks good on paper and been there since 2019 bring promoted in job role twice.

Where’s that been said Cooper?
In jackarmy.net lore, a Les Ferdinand (or Ferdie) refers to a post made on a topic where there is already at least one post existing on that subject.

It goes back to a time when Les Ferdinand signed for Reading and there were multiple posts made by people about it; so many that it just became ridiculous. From that point on, it was common to refer to a new post about old news as a Les Ferdinand or a Ferdie. As Cooperman demonstrated above, making sardonic or witty comments on the new posts as a way of letting people know it's a duplicate topic is a thing.

Quite why we gave a sh*t about Les Ferdinand signing for Reading at the time I can't remember.

There should be a sticky on the forum with a guideline to phrases and what they mean 🤣

As an aside, I saw ‘Sir’ Les last Thursday. We were on the same flight from Edinburgh to London. He still looks extremely fit.
