• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Being booed by the home Liverpool support for running down his contract and leaving in the summer..

Justified or not?

I don't think booing him is helpful, but then I don't think he helped himself by releasing that silly little video confirming his departure earlier in the week. It was bound to rile a few. He should have just waited and put a statement out on the eve of the last game, like Joe did. Instead he's made his last three games a bit of a circus. Silly boy.

Justified yea. Liverpool next season will be more likely to win the champions league than Real Madrid so its not a trophy thing.

It is what it is. He leaves for nothing and the fans have the right to boo. He can't cry about that. Choices have consequences.

Extraordinary reaction from Liverpool fans and how anyone could believe that they - who have won one Champions League in twenty years - have a better chance than perennial winners Real Madrid is laughable.

RM are arguably the biggest and most successful club in the world and a fair bit more than Liverpool.

I'm not sure about that.

Liverpool are a magnificent club with an incredible history in the European Cup, but you're talking about a club there who are by far the most successful club in the competition's history and in the last 10 years have dominated the competition.

It's actually two CLs in twenty years, but you're otherwise spot on.

'Laughable'? Madrid can't even win La Liga up against one of the worst Barca sides in 40 years.

I'm aware of Madrids pedigree in the competition but Liverpool will definitely be one of the favourites to win it next season.

The same Barca that almost got to the final of the Champions League with Liverpool... in the wilderness a few rounds ago.

One season where Real Madrid have struggled should not mean they have less chance Liverpool next season. What a load of tosh.

Yea, in the wilderness until very recently yet Madrid couldn't beat them to La Liga, that's my point.

Of course it should, you're only as good as your last game. Even though Madrid have an aura about them in the champions league, that doesn't automatically make them favourites every season, especially when they aren't at their best and there are other resurgent teams, such as Liverpool who'll strengthen further this summer.

"Tosh". "Laughable". 🤣

Six times in eleven seasons winning it would make them favourites surely?

As Liverpool were in the wilderness last season they really shouldn't have won the Premier League this season by your logic.

False, a name doesn't make favourites. Form and momentum does. Now, will Real be in the conversation, yes probably, they still have some world class players. But so will Liverpool.

Correct, Liverpools triumph this season I'd say was pretty unexpected. But they dod remarkably well and won it at a canter.

I think this conversation is over.

If you think Real Madrid's heritage and pedigree in the Champions League doesn't make them favourites with Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Bellingham with Trent to come then we'll agree to disagree.

You don’t think they’ll be ‘restocking’? Liverpool were mangled and humbled by PSG this season, even though the score looked close, and it’s they that have benefited this year domestically by poor competition, particularly Man City. I detest RM, but Arnold is increasing his probability of champions league success by going there (there’s no certainties, and Liverpool may overperform or get lucky next year of course). I’m not sure he’ll be good enough for Madrid either, when it really comes to it. He’ll be out of his Anfield bubble comfort zone.
