• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

This isn't great.

Maybe the person behind doing this in previous seasons is out of their job with the cuts made!?

According to that the club said that the main factors were people preferring to travel up themselves as they felt it was cheaper and negative experiences, presumably that means with the current provider of the coach service.

A retainer for this kind of service isn't cheap, if people aren't using it then the club is the one that loses out. Perhaps either an alternative service provider or some alternative method for discounted travel might be worth exploring but thats down to the club.

Didn't the club cancel a coach last season for 1 game as literally only a couple of people booked it. Makes no sense if club is losing money on it. Not sure the demands for it, but if it's not there then this makes sense.

Always more to these things.

Always more to these things.
I have no doubt, there is always more than what's at face value.
That said however if people dislike the service and aren't using it then it makes perfect sense to either stop it altogether or look for a better alternative.

These things were never a problem when they were organised by supporters and people used them and enjoyed them (fair play to Ugo and Julie for the years of hard graft they put into this)

Then the club put them on with a view to making money off it - another bad decision from the regimes of the past.

I believe I’m right in saying that a few years ago Ugo and Julie were having a free meal in the stadium on match days as a thank you for all the hard work they were doing.
Then it suddenly stopped.

Given the service they did for the supporters theres no reason why they shouldnt have had that to be honest. Especially given some of the freebies the Trust board like to take for doing pretty much the square root of sod all
