Wilf is still the best striker I've ever seen play for the club. No matter what I can't hold his second spell against him.

For me too, Wilf was an absolute beast and that calendar year he had where he was top goal scorer through all the big leagues he was up there with the best in the world. Michu was sensational from midfield but Wilf was on another level as a pure out and out striker.

I've never seen a more physically dominant striker, apart from Duncan Ferguson perhaps. There was no way a centre back was going to nick the ball off Bony.

He could hit the ball so hard from tight spaces too, defenders had no chance. He scored a rocket against QPR with no backlift at all, incredible power and strength.

Bob Latchford was no longer quite at his peak when he joined us but he was still a tremendous all round, top division centre forward.
It's very difficult to compare different eras but for me he's the best striker I've ever seen in a Swans shirt.

Mind you, looking at those you tube Bony goals, some are incredible.

Bony had an incredible understanding with JdG

I remember one assist he gave to de Guzman where he received the ball, held off a defender who looked like he may as well have tried to outmuscle a house before playing a backheel through the defenders legs for JdG to run clean through on goal

The absolute last thing I'd have called Scotland is a target man to be honest. Bringing others into play was never a strength of his. He was just a ruthless goalscorer. We've not really had anyone like him since. Maybe Piroe was a bit similar in his ability to be anonymous for 20 minutes then conjure a goal out of absolutely nothing with a bit of skill.

Both could have played off Wilf very well.
