Real Madrid were just awarded a corner kick because the opposition’s goalkeeper was holding onto the ball for too long. 😮
Is this a new global rule, or just for this silly competition?

New rule coming in to try to stop some of the goalkeeper bollox going on the past couple of years

Tell you what would stop it. Once he has the ball count down from 10 and if he's still got it it's a penalty. Soon cure it.

Well the new rule counts from as soon as the ball is in both hands from the keeper, so you know goalkeepers picking up the ball and then diving on top of it? Yeah that counts towards the 8 seconds, mess about with it and concede a corner.

The refs should stop delaying corners to talk to players pushing before the corner is taken. If they are caught doing something after the kick it taken, then just penalise them (which ever way)

Fair play, mind, the Inter Miami centre-half just went down injured. Two physios ran on, and one of them started spraying Ralgex on his leg. When was the last time you saw that? 😂

One of the few good things from this shit show, yesterday during a match whilst replaying a controversial football episode !!!, they split the screen to continue to show the ‘live action’ and the debatable/,replay on the other half.

How many times do we miss the exciting live action because they are showing replays?

That is the only positive seen so far. Split screen - easy.
