• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Good for him. Football management is unforgiving, can’t blame him for trying something else.

Either way fair play to the bloke for working a normal job on basic money, if only he’d kept his mouth shut here, but I guess he’s not one who wants to sit at home doing nothing living on his payout.

Well there you are...

Sacked Swansea City manager Luke Williams now working at Bristol Airport

I think he might struggle in this job. It requires going forward and pushing a chair. Problem is he only ever went backwards as a coach and style. Do that in this job and you'll never get the passengers on the plane 😂😂😂

It is mad that some will judge him for this. The payoff from the sacking would probably be enough to be mortgage free. That coupled with a wage from a normal job would still be a better standard of living than most.

No shame in this. It's just a surreal sight. He went from Swansea to promoting himself as the next big thing with West Brom and now doing this. You couldn't write it. If he is happy fair enough, but still very different and bucks the trend.

While someone is involved in the professional football scene be that as a player or a manager then they are open to public criticism and ridicule, but for me once they move out of that and into the more conventional workforce then the gloves need to go back on imo

If legit and not some kind of AI deepfake then its just time to move on, I see no need to take the piss out of someone who is working a regular job as a regular joe.

I’m sure he’s looking to get back into coaching, but he seems like the type to not want to sit around on his arse all day so he’s probably taken this job whilst he considers what to do. Probably been driving his family mental being at home at day.

Looks like a rewarding way to spend your days if the specific role they mention is true. I doubt it’s about money or ‘feeding his family’; more wanting to do something rewarding with his time rather than talk bollocks on podcasts.
