Summer Transfer Window

The last thing I want to see is the possibility of an Israeli player draping themselves in that flag at our stadium. Massive no from me
I completely agree.

There is nothing wrong with having national pride and patriotism, but not when what you are proud of is your country being actively involved in genocide.

For those that can remember Oli's performances that led to a massive cheque for the club or for those that weren't around at that time, he is not only a goalscorer, a nuisance in the box, goes deep to link with his midfield / defenders and also is a hard worker who I would suspect fits the brief of Sheehan and O'Dea to a tee.
Yes, he has had his demons as a young professional that created problems and publicity off the field and one hopes family life in between training sessions and matches has settled him down and given him a more mature way of life.
It's a big Yes for me.

No problem having McB back but others will pay more so would he come?
Other strikers at the club could learn a lot from him
Not everyone signed has to fit the profile of signing young and selling at a profit
In some ways he would fit Sheehan's approach better than Piroe, who would score more goals but do less in the press
( Piroe will of course be on the bench next season at Leeds)
I fancy McB will stay in Yorkshire, though

Not that I can blame Forest for it, but all the buzz and two sides very rich with income coming up from League One into the Championship combined with a hugely positive loan spell with us has created a perfect storm for them. Most sides in their right minds would walk away considering the fees being talked about - even 5m was excessive but the reported 8m? Utter madness and its only the clubs with more money than sense who would pay that in the Championship.

That does ultimately mean Birmingham and Wrexham will be constantly linked with him all through the summer. Quite possibly the newly promoted Premier League sides too would bite at 8m.

Swansea will quite justifiably back away slowly before running over the horizon never to be seen again.

To be fair his hold up play is brilliant. And if this is what Sheehan and Co wants they would be getting someone who does this fantastic. I'm no tactician, but would you put Vipnotik upfront and McBurnie behind him? Think could do well together.

This O'Brien FOMO is getting a bit out of hand. Wrexham are apparently going to stop at nothing to get him
I have had my say on OB, and what he brought to the club etc. If anything positive is to come of this, it's a reminder to other clubs what we can do with loans and resell value. Wasn't brewster the last one we did well with? Yes we don't benefit with money, but it's a good way to show that we all benefit. Hopefully this means better quality loans now.
