• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not a clue about the amount, not even a peek so far.
I would be disappointed if there was not an improvement on this time last summer.

Been alot of what in my opinion has been excuses about people not renewing etc but those excuses are now history and the club are certainly being pro active to expect some numbers to return.

Anyone have an idea on numbers so far?

Three of us that sit together have all renewed. 😁

The early signs seem good, but let's see how the new players actually do before getting too excited.

Let's not forget, two years ago many observers said we'd had a great transfer window adding the proven Championship experience of Yates and Pedersen, and the next big thing in Patino. We all know what happened next.

No, let’s get excited for the new season. It’s brilliant to see so much positivity around the club which has been missing for far too long.

Yeah it’s the hope that kills you, but let people get carried away, it’s what football and sport does. Embrace it.

I'm not saying let's not be positive, I am definitely more encouraged by recent events, but if this is supposedly a discussion about whether or not to take a plunge on an ST, I'm just saying for me it's not quite enough yet. I need to see progress on the pitch. I'm not easily seduced by photos of players with scarves above their head, never have been. And certainly not in the last 6 or 7 years.

If all goes well, then I'd definitely consider a half ST in January (assuming they offer it, they usually do)

Didn’t the last update from the Trust state that more sales have taken place compared to this time last year

A good start to the season would see a surge in walk up sales. That’s a big market for the club, people who’ve not renewed in recent years but for whom an attractive, mainly winning product, would get them back.

I agree with you, there seems to be people who not only appear negative when there is good reason to be negative, but also when there are good reasons to be positive. Yes, it could all go pear shaped, but we can't say that the club hierarchy haven't pulled out all the stops this time. To be applauded.
