• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

And then there was one.

Tomos Williams is ruled out for remainder of tour due to hamstring injury.

Horrible situation for Williams. His performance off the bench against Argentina and from the start against Western Force suggested he would be pushing Gibson-Park for a Test start. Unlikely to be picked next time when he'll be 34 either.

Dominant again, as they should be.
Jac Morgan MAN of the match. 👍

So another player is ruled out injured after being a stand-out in the warm up games so far. Commiserations to Elliot Daly who was looking great at fullback.

In response, Andy Farrell calls up his son, who isn't a full-back, is probably past his best, hasn't played international rugby for 2 years, and has just had a nightmare spell in France. Farrell says they have loads of full-backs, despite Kinghorn arriving late from Top 14 and Keenan being injured. Hmmm.

Owen Farrell was always guaranteed to be called up, he was probably out there anyway even if he wasn't with the squad,

To be fair, the Beeb have got an article about why he was called up and it makes some good points. He's by all accounts a great person to have on tour, he demands high standards from everyone, etc.

I just would have thought they would have prioritised a full-back given how light they are at the position, but it's not like I know a fraction as much as Andy Farrell.

The first part may well be true, but if so why didn't he go in first place and you're right an extra full back is needed, Farrell isn't quick enough to play full back either, there's three Half backs already there and enough centre's.
I don't get it myself, no disrespects to Own Farrell he's a decent player on the wain a little these days though, but there are better options available.

I can see why AF wants an experienced utility back but there have to be other players with current international experience.
