Apparently and I’ll have to check this, my parents saw queen in the 70s in Swansea, Yep I remember now it was the Townsman otherwise known as Barons.

Ha ha a google tells me it was the Brangwyn Hall 1973, although definitely thinking of some group in the Townsman.

Did Queen play the Brangwyn Hall twice then? I saw them supporting Mott the Hoople and it was just after "Killer Queen" had hit the charts. My old brain thought that was 1973 but I may be mistaken

Yes they did.
28th November 1973 and 15th November 1974. They supported Mott the Hoople in 73.
A band called Hustler supported Queen in 74 which was the gig I saw.

Ah yes the quick Google search I did agrees with that. I certainly saw the 1973 one then as they were the support to Mott. But I was convinced "Killer Queen" had charted then as my mates and I knew that we wouldn't hear that one at the gig as the band couldn't reproduce the guitar overdubs at the time.

Google says "Killer Queen" was released in 1974 so I'm a bit confused.
