• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I’m aghast at reading that.

It’s been a long time since I lived in Baglan, I don’t know Josh Tuck but I’m aware of the work he’s been putting in to try and get elected and he’s worked hard tbf. I don’t know Wendy personally, but I know who she is and she’s also done a lot for the community in Baglan and she’s worked hard with the kids for Baglan Rugny Club. “I’ve no skin in the game” as the yanks like to say, but I reckon Josh or Wendy would do a good job as a councillor for the people of Baglan.

For Josh Tuck to open up and talk about the abuse he received as a youngster takes immense courage. Being a victim of abuse can ruin a life, for someone to go through it, come out the other side and then be able to open up and talk about it to help others says a lot about the guy.
The article Darren has posted a link to says a lot about Bamsey - despicable is a word I’d use but something stronger would probably be more appropriate.

Hope Josh or Wendy prevail and that the good citizens of Baglan can see through Bamsey.

Bamsey initially initiated that article by saying the young Labour candidate isn’t from Baglan which considering Bamsey isn’t from and never has been from Baglan is utterly staggering.

Just realised that I “know” this one as well. Worked on the same project that he was on for a few months.
I used to know Ken and his boy Paul not seen either for as long as I can remember they were tidy no doubt still are.

Labour won 37% down 16%, Independent 2nd 28% down 2,3%, Reform 3rd with 23%, PC +7.9%,Con -14%, green +1% over 2022 elections.

Only 1,886 could be bothered to vote. No doubt the rest will be all over Facebook moaning about everything under the sun.

Turnout was 34%. Fairly standard for a council by election. Reform will be gutted they didn’t win this. South Wales should be fertile ground for them if they’re revolutioni politics in the way they think they are.
