• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Exactly right

We didn't play like that ujder him last year so begs the question wtf have we done all summer
We did in some games, Preston away, Watford away, Derby home, they were all shit games to watch with very little end product.

Burnley home was another one, just rolled over and let them win because they were top 2.

If they gone up there and played attacking football, then you wouldn't have heard a peep about Sheehan. That performance was so bad, it's seeds doubt if he is actually upto this job.
It's going to be a long slog on here again this season #alreadydown 😒

It’s the same old rhetoric though isn’t it….season had started and we’re still talking about “ hopefully things will get sorted this week “ rinse and repeat comes to mind.
To be fair to those in charge, there was always far too much work to do in a single window. We definitely weren’t going to have all players in before the first game.

I don’t think we can say what these are like yet until we’ve had multiple summer windows under their control.

Hopefully we will bring a few more in before the transfer window closes. What are your expectations for us this season? Play offs? Top two finish?

Honestly does feel the same as every summer, we all get hyped with some signings thinking we will have a good season, then season starts we see the same issues we’ve seen for years no creativity, Piroe was lucky he could make something happen out of nothing, we haven’t got anyone like that at the minute, and unless players like Inoussa or Widell ain’t fully fit then these new signings should be starting, also anyone can see Cullen ain’t a lone striker.

But for the record anyone wanting Sheehan out after 1 game is absolutely bonkers and they’re probably the people who’d drop their kegs for big ol Russ back here.

Play offs? Atomic?? can’t see us exploding out of the blocks that’s for sure, I want us to be competitive in every game that’ll do for me.

Far too much to do in one window???why ? Please quantify that old cliche, we’re not talking about building a champions league side..every man and his dog realised that we needed a striker, easier said than done I know but leave out the crap about a single window.

Me bad, was trying to come over as pedantic.

I thought we matched an admittedly average Middlesbrough yesterday for most of the game, yes we had absolutely no cutting edge, Boro had a tad more, poor game all round. Let's keep the public flogging of Sheehan on hold for a few more games though 🙏

Not flogging him, he seems a nice bloke and did a good job for us at the tail end of the season, not going to go on about number two’s not making great number one’s but you can’t argue that generally that’s true.
That run made things really awkward for the club, strange Martin had a similar run but fans reckoned it was against teams who had nothing to play Sheehan had a similar run and many were clamouring for him to be appointed…strange lot football fans.

Well we’ve lost quite a few from the squad and one or two important players from the first team, while also needing to upgrade anyway. I think the sheer numbers involved meant that we were never going to have everyone in before Boro

Fair, but appointing him made absolute sense, if Cameron Burgess hadn't had a lapse of concentration yesterday we'd all have been trumpeting a hard earned point on the road. Thought Bango and Burgess were fantastic yesterday by the way.

Not sure about absolute sense if I’m honest, Boro were average at best yesterday and personally I expected more, carbon copy of last seasons game, same problems as last year and we should have addressed our glaring deficiency’s up front before yesterday, got a strange feeling we’ll be having the same conversations throughout the season.
