• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

What dreadful shocking news.
I only met him once for a few minutes with Darran outside Spurs many years ago.
He seemed a genuine person, and only got to know him through his postings.
I can only guess at his age, but whatever it was its is much much too young.
I can only give my thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.

To you Darran, I can fully understand how you feel as I could tell by the posts between you that you had a special bond.

RIP Blaze/James

Thanks Clive, even his last ever post on here was designed to try and wind me up.
All I can think of is that I’d planned to meet him in Neath for the art exhibition on Saturday.
I can’t get my head around it at all.

I’m just lying here with my iPad and I still can’t process it.
He was such a lovely lad,he’s quite a few years younger than me but when we first met about 20 years ago we just hit it off straight away,he used to wind me up like fuck though by telling me how much he admired me,he would be saying things like “I’m feeling awful and I feel like a twat when I look at you and what’s happened.”
I’d be like “James stfu you silly twat.”

There’s an old say that goes “there’s always someone worse off than yoursel”
But there isn’t when you’re in that zone, when you’re in that zone you should remember there’s nobody worse off than you, you’re the number one and you should always remember that.
Love you James. ♥️

So sorry Darran. The dynamic between the both of you was great. I'm away on a break , half pissed and a bit emotional. Take care of yourself.

As for Blaze, a piece of the Swans community furniture...not that old, well worn and very comfortable until it wasn't here anymore.

Sorry Blaze, it's too early but whatever the reasons...that's life.

Never met the chap but a big Iron Maiden fan if I remember .

RIP Blaze .

This is awful news, never knew him personally but did through here, it's like we've lost one of the family, hope your ok Dar, rest in peace Blaze, sad sad news

Sorry to hear this news.
Never met him like some but he came across as a bit of a cheeky chappy who liked a laugh and a wind up on here.

RIP YJB

Oh that’s awful. Condolences to friends and family. RIP.

When James was here two weeks ago he was buzzing about his little business.
The jungle drums had been circulating and word was getting around about what he was creating and the orders were coming in and he’d been doing craft fairs too.
Earlier this year his father and brother in law had helped him build an office thingy at the bottom of the garden to put all his gear, laser cutter etc in.
I said earlier in the thread that the mothers of all my youngest grandsons team Giants Grave had put orders in,when he turned up here to drop then off he wasn’t going to leave my other grandson out,oh no not James so he made my other grandson a golf plaque.
That’s the type of man he was. ❤️

Truly awful news. RIP BLAZE.

I never met him but as so many others on here have said you feel you do know people simply through their usernames.

My thoughts are with his family and friends at this shocking and sad time.

I can’t get my head around it at all.

If you hear of any charitable donations instead of flowers etc can you post it on here

Thanks
