Ah crap. I’ve never met him but he was obviously a feature on here and a well-loved friend to many. My thoughts and condolences to all of you who had the pleasure of knowing him.

RIP BLAZE

Wow, that is a shock. Never met Blaze, but enjoyed his posts on here.
Those plaques he made were amazing.
R.I.P.

I’ve only known him personally since the beginning of this year and he’s done a number of jobs for me.
Everything he did was superb even though he always doubted his own work. He was here with us last Thursday delivering something.
Knocked me and my wife for six and hard to comprehend. We know he had his demons but we clearly didn’t know half of it.

RIP mate. ❤️

He made something for the young sister of one of my grandsons teammates.
When he looked at a photo of it he noticed that he hadn’t coloured a tiny bit of it.
He was horrified, drove straight over The Ferry, picked it up,took it home, recoloured it and took it straight back to The Ferry for the little girl.

I can only echo what others have said on here, I never met him and didn't know him other than through his posts on here, but he was obviously a good friend to many posters and a dyed in the wool jack. What a massive, sad loss to our Planet Swans community.
RIP YJB.

Stickied this for a few days for people to leave their memories of Blaze if they want to. He was part of this community, and that’s what it is, for a long time. At some point it may be nice for his family to read about how well thought of he was on here, especially by those who knew him in “real life” so to speak (I never met him in person as far as I can remember). It may give them some small crumb of comfort in the fullness of time.

His family are aware of this thread and love it I’ve spoken to his sister. ♥️

I've probably been posting on here or versions of here for 20 years, if not more. And what's quite strange is that during this time, the posters here haven't really changed a great deal.

In my mind, BLAZE was part of the furniture here and one of those members who you'd always take note of what he said. He was a true Jack and had been here through our bad times as well as the good so you always respected his view.

Most importantly, he always struck me as being a throughly decent and kind bloke, even from afar. I doubt anyone here would have a single bad word to say about him.

I agree with every word of this. Beautifully put.

I remember he had a previous username to Blaze - and vaguely remember him asking Phil to change to this and he went through a stage of trying out different usernames 😂 what was his original username?

RIP never met but one of my favourite posters on here.

What dreadful shocking news.
I only met him once for a few minutes with Darran outside Spurs many years ago.
He seemed a genuine person, and only got to know him through his postings.
I can only guess at his age, but whatever it was its is much much too young.
I can only give my thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.

To you Darran, I can fully understand how you feel as I could tell by the posts between you that you had a special bond.

RIP Blaze/James

I didn't really know Blaze personally but like so many on here you feel you know people through their postings. I asked him a few times for advice on design things which he was always more than happy to provide a viewpoint in or a point in the right direction.

This is so sad to read and I hope his family take some comfort on how he was thought of on here and what his online friends are posting.

These forums have dedications to people we have lost from on here (Lord Bony, Davillin and Ebo) and Blaze is right in that category for me, he will be missed for his postings.

RIP James and thank you for being part of our community.
