• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

For me this whole affair is simple. If you are an important member of the government you make absolutely sure whatever you are doing in the way of property transactions, buying or selling shares etc is squeaky clean and you check and check again or, and this comes to my second point, you delegate the task to someone completely suitable (e.g. in Angela Rayner's case a solicitor).

My second point is if you are DPM, Housing Minister and Deputy Party Leader how the feck do you have time to sort out a property transaction yourself WITHOUT using a delegate?

I'm sure Ms. Rayner didn't set out to deliberately avoid paying the full dues but the lesson here has to be you must be squeaky clean. Why don't these people understand this?

All of these government scandals now and over recent years have really pee'd me off. We pay these people to govern not to waste time and money defending their actions that often are personal in nature. It's getting just like "The Thick of It"!

Starmer promised us better
Great post.👏👏👏

Labour are actually doing a lot of the right things in terms of policy, but it won’t matter because their PR is beyond belief and they are way, way, too timid. Go for the tax avoiding millionaires and billionaires now (and the press barons) on the back of Raynor. Change the voting system. Tax property properly, and UK generated income. Be bold or you’ll be gone in one term. Starmer’s yellow streak and his baby advisors are a disaster. Oh and ditch the ridiculous treasury orthodoxy. BE BOLD. No more second jobs for MPs, no more lobbying. Use Raynor’s resignation for good things. Do what you promised, clean up politics and implement change. What’s the point in a big majority if you’re too much of a shithouse to use it?
You should send that to No10 Downing St Monny(y)

A lunatic conspiracy theorist doctor stood up in their conference and said King Charles' cancer was caused by his covid vaccine. He was warmly applauded. The lunatics are taking over the asylum. So glad I got out and moved to Spain seven years ago. And if the gammons on here come on and attack me for that comment, my response is, shove it right up your arse.
Have you got a spare room Pego :D

Great post, spot on. Starmer needs to grow some balls and implement real Labour policies.
Reverse Brexit asap.
Proportional representation instead of FPTP.
Wealth tax.
Replace the House of Lords with elected second chamber.
Massive reduction in support for royal family and tax them properly on all their income.
Nationalise rail & water industries.
Introduce a national energy company.
Tax US tax dodgers like Amazon.
Prosecute all covid scammer companies.

I've been a low key Green for a while now, waiting to see what its going to look like under the new leader (Polanski)

Corbynism on acid is how I've seen his ideals described

Essentially though I will vote for whoever has the best chance of keeping reform out of my constituency, if the current polls stay as they are

I’m no leftie but this whole episode has shown up a horrible toxic culture of someone from the bottom working their way to the top but having the audacity to have left wing views.

I mean if you want to go through the affairs of all the right leaning MPs especially this will be “poppycock” in comparison.

I’m honestly finding politics depressing at moment. It’s obvious that we’re sleep walking into Singapore on the Thames with the votes of people who will be destroyed by a Gov like this. Those of us who are arguing against it will probably be fine but those that display their made in China flags will be fucked.

Keep lapping up your right wing propaganda ya schmucks
