Great post. For me this whole affair is simple. If you are an important member of the government you make absolutely sure whatever you are doing in the way of property transactions, buying or selling shares etc is squeaky clean and you check and check again or, and this comes to my second point, you delegate the task to someone completely suitable (e.g. in Angela Rayner's case a solicitor).
My second point is if you are DPM, Housing Minister and Deputy Party Leader how the feck do you have time to sort out a property transaction yourself WITHOUT using a delegate?
I'm sure Ms. Rayner didn't set out to deliberately avoid paying the full dues but the lesson here has to be you must be squeaky clean. Why don't these people understand this?
All of these government scandals now and over recent years have really pee'd me off. We pay these people to govern not to waste time and money defending their actions that often are personal in nature. It's getting just like "The Thick of It"!
