Alan Sheehan on Hull | Reaction

Clear inference there that Ronald and Inoussa didn't help out enough down the flanks and I think he's probably right. Key was exposed several times today 1 v 1, didn't get a lot of help. Same for Tymon.

Off out now so will watch this presser tomorrow, my take is, played some delightful football in parts, when Galbraith and Franco click we'll be knocking on the door come May, Idah will get us 15+ and Vipotnik similar.
Couple of "tweeks" in January and it could be very, very interesting 🤔

Think we were off defensively today which is very unlike us.

Calmed down a bit now. Still fancy us for play offs at season end but we've got to improve our chance creation

Midfield at the minute reminds me of the one we had at the start of the 2010/11 season. Three sort of similar central midfielders all trying to do a similar job.

I think we need to find the space for a #10 type. Someone to sit behind the striker and just try to create, like Dobbie did that year, or Jamie Paterson since. It'd be interesting to see what Eom could do there, or Widell.

I do like this about him. Managers are always going to protect their players but he’s pretty honest (and accurate) in his assessment after every game. Maybe too honest!

I don't get the sense from Sheehan that he's a bullshitter. That might not equate to him being a great coach or manager, but we may at least be able to depend upon an honest appraisal.

I’m still hopeful on Widell in the medium term but he’s not quite there yet and the difficulty is how does he get up to speed if not getting significant minutes.

Not that he’s the same type of player, but hopefully like Jordi Gomez did, he’ll grow into the season as it progresses.

We definitely need someone to chip in with goals, assists and general creativity from that area of the pitch.

May as well try Eom there, because he's not getting picked in front of Inoussa on the wing.
