The difference a manager can make.

Now, now gents, you’re coming close to what you’ve been suggesting others are doing.

I know Rock, take as pinch mate. I keep telling myself that "we are all Swans fans" and it doesn't matter that we may have different views. Please keep on posting and giving your views, which is basically taking 😀.
Thanks, appreciate this post.

I know there’s a common denominator. Like I said previously and I haven’t changed on this. I was hoping Sheehan would prove me wrong.

In the end I want was is best for the swans as we all do. I was certain that this would happen and Sheehan was not the right “long term” appointment but that doesn’t please me.

My whole thinking for several seasons is that we need an overhaul and that we had an amazing opportunity while Sheehan was doing a great job to identify someone to rebuild the club.

But that sort of comment leads to Andrew saying things like expecting to have Real Madrid. Weird innit

Those are my thoughts to a tee Rock ( not everyone will agree). Try not to let poster's who try to twist your words get to you. Please keep posting and share your thoughts 😀

Can I just politely point out that the assorted witterings of people on here, or in the stadium, or in the pub have precisely zero influence on what actually fucking happens in real life amongst decision makers at the club. And that's always been the case since year dot.

But you go right ahead and blame the fans for us not being Real Madrid. That's definitely proportionate and rational.
The fact that so many are talking so negatively about Sheehan and our performances surely must mean there’s something badly wrong?
If we were winning ugly the purists might moan but if we were getting results there wouldn’t be a clamour to change the manager.

We are simply dreadful at the moment. We got stuffed at home by Leicester who either side have had some jaw droppingly mediocre results. We really are THAT bad now.

It does make me wonder if it's an accumulation of bad manager after bad manger. The fun of going to the game has been killed after an initial bright period towards the end of last season and a summer transfer window which at the time was exceptional for us, on paper.

People have simply just had an enough, this will be the fifth season of not being in the slightest bit competitive.

I think it’s more a case of recruitment teams and coaching staff not being on the same page. We are frequently seeing square pegs in round holes, even when we have a better fit right in front of our eyes. This was evidently as recently as yesterday. Is this politics and power struggles behind the scene, if so Cravatt and co need to fix it?

Only going to be one winner if that's the case. This manager needs to get a better tune out what he's got in terms of a playing squad.

His reluctance to fit Idah in to the first eleven could cost him his job. I'm sure the owners are going to want to know why they've spent 6 million (apparently) on a player who can't get in to the team.

The owners will fix it by sacking the manager.

The Idah question is so obvious.

I’m definitely feeling that way. I was overly optimistic over a good transfer window , even putting on a cheeky bet. I felt as bad watching us yesterday as I had done under the worst of Martin and Williams. Listening to opposition fans taking the absolute piss. I love my club and this is no way good enough.

Was he a deadline day signing? I don’t remember.
Ended up that way, apparently Brendan was playing silly buggars.

Can't see these owners wasting that amount of money on a deadline day panic buy like David Ngog.

Adam Idah is a good player and will score goals, if he's given a run in the team.

Same here Dillwyn, I was absolutely buzzing at the beginning of the season, it felt like we'd got our club back.

Was so fed up of all this sideways and backs nonsense, possession with no intent. I'm back to dreading a match day and going out of obligation.

Ahh yes I remember now. So unlikely to be a case of panic buy because Vip was off.

There was surely a conversation beforehand between scouting, recruitment and coaching team, in which there was a full show of hands for approving the signing.
