• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Didn’t like him when he was a player, especially considering his Cardiff connections
However I’m starting to warm to him now, especially on listening to his last few interviews.
I think given time, he’ll end up being a very good manager at club level too.

He had a number of bullying accusations against him when he was a youth coach at Cardiff, I would be the first to say that I wasn't impressed with him being handed the Wales job but all in all he has done an excellent job since. The real question for him now is if he can handle the week in week out man management and pressures of a domestic club compared to the more occasional pressures of an international team coach.

It's kind of funny how before being the international manager was seen as the harder gig and the bigger achievement
In recent years at least for most international sides its the other way around now.

Yea good post, at times he does seem right on the edge. He seems to quite obsessive so generally i think he'd prefer day to day involvement of club management. He implied he'd be at a loose end between now and March.

Offer him a £500k sweetener to come and manage us. It's half what we'd have to fork put for Matos.
Hypothetical question. How would our fanbase take to Bellamy if he came to manage us. I’m not saying it’s gonna happen, but what would the reaction be?

As others have said, he's always been complimentary about us and we've had success with other managers previously associated with Cardiff, Toshack primarily. Plus him coming to manage us would have a good portion of Cardiff fans apoplectic with rage. So win/win.

Would be delighted personally, as others have said, always spoke extremely highly of us.

He'd probably start with the kind of "it doesn't quite fit" feeling that Brad Bobbley gave me, but I could actually see him being a sucess and that feeling would very quickly dissappear.

However, it'll never happen so file it under - interesting thought experiment.
