• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Adrian Lewis couldn't contain his anger and was antagonistic when he was on the oche and off it for that matter, Taylor coached him for years and he even upset Taylor a few times, who doesn't even speak to him anymore apparently.
My uncle lives in Stoke, Lewis is a tidy guy by all accounts, but Taylor is a big I Am and they both indeed fell out, all the other darters are tidy up there an all, White, Hamilton

How do Taylor’s averages stack up against the current stars? There’s no doubt that there’s much greater strength in depth these days so there was less jeopardy early in tournaments in Taylor’s day.

Funnily enough 'Darts biggest bust ups' came on my youtube feed last night, featuring Taylor and Lewis prominently (and Gerwyn Price!)

Although it was only 20 years ago it just feels and looks like another game doesn't it?

At the World Championships, nobody gets near him for 100+ averages (56 - MVG has 42)

MVG is the only one with a higher tournament average than him (104 v 106) and a higher one match average (114 v 111)

A large period of that average is with boards that are nowhere near as friendly as they are today with stapling and heavier darts, Phil used to throw 26g darts which is not uncommon today, although the trend is lower than that.

Although Ryan Searle typically uses 32g darts!

I can believe that about Taylor to be honest, he doesn't seem the humble type, Taylor made out that the friendship broke due to something Lewis said or did, I guess the actual truth lies somewhere inbetween,

Humble would be an understatement, although you could say he was very charitable in his donations to female workers

Anyone that originates from Stoke is probably inbred if you look deep enough Max, Stokies still point up to the sky open mouthed when they spot a plane. FACT 🛩

It's mad isn't it, while 3-0 down and playing fairly shite, Gabriel Clemens went pissing raving bonkers and played the best darts I think anyone has ever played, almost bringing it back to 3-3

Its inside all of us somewhere

I have thrown darts in my garage pretty much every day since the world champs started. I can categorically state that it’s not inside me.

That’s some blow up from Ricky Evans. Played the last few sets like me in my garage.

What a bizarre game

Young Charlie Manby wins on 24% doubles

Ricky Evans just seemingly gave up, around 70 average in that last set

Manby was running at less than 10% success for a long time. Evans just caved in for some reason.

Nathan Aspinall annoys me more than he probably should, so good riddance. I hope that also means he is out of the Premier League.

Doets always produces a classic.. he's always giving the elite headaches
Doesn’t seem to get phased by anything. He had darts all over the floor early on, but kept it together. His 164 out in response to Aspinall jumping around like a fanny made me smile.
