The Ospreys

They literally are going to chant "Ospreys, Ospreys".

Honestly if people cared that much why didn't they turn up and watch them over the years.

Tv and home comforts whilst watching said Tv has a lot to answer for, I'm guilty as charged myself, Swans the same, although my family situation is another reason, things getting harder as the years roll by.

Feels like the horse has already bolted with this outrage from closet Osprey fans.

I recon the 4 regions should have a mini league between themselves. Play each other home and away, and whoever finishes bottom goes

The Os have beaten the three other regions the Dragons today being the last, should have been a bigger score as well,

The WRU can shove that right up their hoop.

That’s this seasons current Welsh shield standings.

Galling, but zero relevance unfortunately. The players will go to the others. The facts are Ospreys have no ground, few people watching, stupidly failed to sign PRA25, and, most crucially of all, owners that have tried everything to get out, including mergers with scarlets and Ealing since 2019. Now they have, along with the WRU, colluded to bail out. If you accept, as most did before the victim was identified, the need to go to 3, it has to be the Ospreys that go. They need to just hope for a miracle, but they are 99.9% done.

It all seems pretty short sighted to me, but is a result of many years of total neglect and mismanagement. The Dragons should have been wound up when they went bust, not saved and funded by the WRU and then gifted, along with the ground, to Buttress. They are just parasites that have produced and added nothing to the game.

Agree with most of that.

Gatland, Edwards and 5-10 World class players resulted in international success which is all 80-90% of the Welsh public are interested in. As a result most paid no attention to the lack of quality, depth and pathways in the regional game.

Shame for those who genuinely cared and put time and money into supporting the team.

No top tier rugby being played in the old West (or Mid) Glamorgan is not a good look, but as I think I’ve mentioned before it may well benefit the Swans (in terms of attendances and kids/youth participation) if there’s no rugby to compete with in the local area.

I genuinely feel sorry for the die hard fans who attend week in week out. Not arsed at all for the casual or distance fans, they could and should have made more effort to attend. Fair enough that some may have health issues or mobility issues, but there are thousands of others who can’t be arsed to go. Similar to our lot tbh.

Anyway, Neath Neath Neath!
