I'm still reeling from the 'we should sell for anything over 3 million' take from when the Jan window opened.

Hopefully there will be some set of circumstances that will allow him to be here next season, but if he have to sell, surely we'd be looking at 15 million minimum, right?

It always seems when we are onto a good thing with a striker we sell. I fear it's gonna happen. But do it early if needs must and get alternatives in. 15m is minimal on top scorer in championship.

He's having a brilliant season but I’m still not convinced that he's big, strong and mostly quick enough to be a force in the Premier league.
That doesn't mean he won't go. He'll be an option off the bench for a newly promoted team or a side in the bottom third and his contract when he goes will set him up for life.

I also think he will attract interest from the continent too, maybe a Bundesliga team with some cash. There was reported interest from a Serie A team a while back I think. Not sure how real that was.

I just like how he’s quietly knuckled down and worked his way up to being a top striker for us, that is enough to be applauded 👏🏻

I understand we are a selling club and finances are always a priorty but you'd swear some people on here wouldn't be happy unless we sold all our best players, it would be nice if we could start to really build a side and not just keep having a re-set every August.

That crossed my mind earlier. He’s always looked capable but Matos has given him extra confidence. Superb today

The poster that said that hasn’t been around for a while, Andy something was it?

I dont think I have ever seen a ball hit with that amount of power. It literally went through the arms of the keeper above his head - and normally you would be pointing the finger at the keeper. HOWEVER in this case the ball was past him before he could soil himself. What a strike!
I also think this puts to bed any debate over who is taking the free kicks around the edge of the box from now on. If you were in the wall and got in the way of that type of shot it might be time for a lie down on the stretcher and a month off.

This is spot on. Today we looked a strong squad we will lose our loanees but also probably 2 of our better players. Then we have to start again rebuilding not knowing if the player will work and then we are in a vicious circle season after season. At some point we have to say no

You’d imagine if he hits 20, we can look at 15-20 million in the summer as a fair valuation (if we decide to sell). We hold all the cards this time. He’s a young player with further development ahead, he’s got 2 years left with us and we don’t have to sell him. Don’t think we could be in a stronger negotiating position.

It seems hard to believe he won't hit 20 (not counting the cup games)
He only needs 5 more with 15 games to play
He has 5 in his last 5
