How long will Trump continue to commit to this campaign. I’d bet he’ll want a ceasefire by the end of next week to claim some kind of victory. How that squares with Israeli objectives is anyones guess.

Just said on BBC news that they expect it to last 4 weeks, but its going so well that its likely to be sooner, why start this now I wonder?
Me like most on here I expect don't want to see conflict and least of all with us involved.

How many innocent people are going to die this time. I understand there is an appetite for regime change within their country. Talk about sledgehammer to crack a nut, having said that, is there an alternative. It crossed my mind is this action by the US, illegal, just asking, I'm not big on international law and the like.🤷‍♂️
One of the “better” newspapers printed an article about what would happen next, who would take over and run Iran if the current regime was toppled. The bottom line was that nobody really knew how it would pan out, there were a number of different scenarios but some could be worse than what’s there now!
It struck me that it could end up with another Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan type scenario occurring again.
I was out at the WC in Qatar and I spoke to a few Iranian football fans, they were tidy enough. I feel sorry for the innocent people caught up in this, but I really hope the people responsible for butchering the protestors a few months ago get their comeuppance and are brought to justice.

Agree 100%. It’s how it can be done is the problem.

Great post P. It’s strange that hardly anyone wants to mention the protestors being butchered though.

It concerns me that this could develop into a far wider conflict drawing other powerful countries into the war with the end point being WW3, this is more than wanting to cease Iran's Nuclear weapons capability, its more to do with Americas economic interests that's the end game for Trump, but if this does develop into a wider war it'll be a gamble Trump shouldn't have taken.
