Zan Vipotnik

Rangers would have to obliterate their transfer record so they've got no chance

It feel like a win, win scenario. Either we get a big fee for a player signed on a free or we keep the best finisher in the league. If I had to guess, I think he will leave as the money will go a long way to reinvesting in the squad. It is rare and a nice feeling to have a situation that is positive either way.

Why would we possibly want to cash in on the leagues top goal scorer if we have aspirations of challenging for promotion?
Finances and he's possibly at his highest value plus there might be a chance he will have his head turned.

I heard last week (via a hairdresser) that Vipotnik's in talks over an improved contract

It’s been seen many times before that a club, the swans included, sell their ‘best player’ for big money, reinvest wisely then actually improve and move up a level.
That takes a lot of knowhow (and also some luck) in the transfer market. This Vip situation will be a big test for the recruitment team if we sell him. Get it right and we end up with a team full of Galbraith-calibre players…….get it wrong and we end up with a bang average team with no goalscorer.
It’ll be an interesting summer!

Personally feel we need to keep our best players and add to the squad if we've got any sort of ambition.
