Ever since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there’s been an uncomfortable uneasiness that has gnawed away in the consciousness.

The Hamas attacks on Israeli citizens and Israel’s subsequent response against Palestinian civilians and their homes, increased this uneasy feeling even more.

The nighttime attack on Venezuela, the removal of its President, and the subsequent takeover of the country by the US made it worse.

And now we have the Iranian war, which is sending a signal to us all that we as a species, just haven’t learned from our past mistakes, when it comes to man’s inhumanity to man.

Even as I type these words, the men, women and children of this world, are cowering under a sky that is raining death and destruction on them.

And yet there is little that we, as a civilisation, can do against this scourge.

Except despair.

I read it in the Guardian. Is it true? No idea. I do also remember reading that in the 90s we decided mass gas storage was unnecessary, after of course Thatchers wheeze of selling off all strategic assets. I doubt we have any self sufficiency or resilience any longer to food or fuel shortages. That should be number one in our electoral priorities, but, no, look over there…an immigrant. So what if they are treating you or caring for your mum, it’s all their fault. Your salt of the earth white fascist uneducated scumbag would be rich if not for them.
