They can't. Trump would be ridiculed and visibly 'lose' no matter what he tried to proclaim. Just because Trump wants to stop, Iran don't have to and the SoH will still be blocked and they'll rightly, horrible f***ers or not, demand reparations in oder not to destroy the world's economy. Iran's only objective now is that neither the US nor Israel can ever dare to try this shit again, and because of Trump and Yahoo, they will now be forced to really build a nuclear bomb too. So, I can only see escalation with neither side willing to back down. I fear Yahoo will fire off a nuke. He is as insane as Trump and thinks he has nothing to lose.

Lucky it's coming into summer, but we are in for rampant inflation, supply chain disruption and maybe even petrol and power rationing again if it does escalate or carries on for a few more weeks.

The prognosis is bleak, even if Trump downs tools tomorrow, which is as unlikely as him having a sentient idea of anything that's going on that doesn't involve his ego.
