• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Posters please use this thread to post the routes you will be using to get to Loftus Road next Tuesday. London always has alternatives and there are a significant number of bus routes you can utilise and the overground railways. I will do some research on the route I would take and I will publish that at some point, but anyone with alternatives feel free to put them on here. There is also Taxis and Ubers, but be careful of the expensive ones in terms of taxis.

Anyone who lives in London should definitely download the TFL Journey Planner, which I use every day.

TFL means Transport For London.

Test it yourself by entering your details and selecting the Bus only option.

Also do note that the Overground trains are still running, and that includes the Elizabeth Line, so anyone in east London should consider taking it to Paddington or Ealing Broadway (which might be quicker) and starting from there.

For what it's worth my own recommendation for visiting Jacks would be to get off at Ealing and take 2 buses from there. If you get off at Paddington, probably take another train back to Ealing BUT I haven't researched this.

Thanks for the journey planner Glyn.

I’m going to drive there… anyone know good places to park nearby?
