That's because Piroe had the same concerns on how he can transfer his game to a higher level which have since be proved right.

15mill would be the absolute maximum value we will get Vip and we would have done an unbelievable job to get that. Im expecting around the same 10-12mill mark.

Although I tend to agree Piroe isn't good enough for the PL, it's not realistic to claim anything has been proven. Here are his minutes in PL games for Leeds this season: 78, 58, 11, 17, 16, 10, 4, 3, 3, 3, 5, 3, 3, 6. Not many strikers are going to have scored many at the top level with that many minutes played, it's less than 2.5 full games.

Equally we'll have done a terrible job of getting £10-12m for Vipotnik and I'm confident that won't be the case. The contract situation alone changes things massively.

Imagine what tally he would have had if Matos had been appointed last summer.

Imagine how many he would have scored with a semi competent winger. Tymon's delivery is top class, Eom hit and miss- Ronald absolutely diabolical.
Vip has shown the ability to score goals on scraps - If we cashin on Vip we absolutely need attackers who are capable of creating chances for Idah and his replacement.

He is obviously full of confidence and would back himself to achieve similar numbers next season. Even if he gives us one more year he will still only be 25, would have 3 years on his contract so we would get a fair price too if we don't go up next year.

Everyone's a winner.
As long as he can carry his form into next season.

Almost Brendan-esque - either loving being at the club that he wants to put off other suitors (for now) or thinking he might go but wanting the club to have the upper hand and a strong position to get a good deal from his sale. So not just an incredible striker at this level but a really good and humble bloke. A rarity in this age of “refuse a contract just to leave” footballers. Class. I hope he finally gets a hatrick today in our pulsating 4-4 draw with Southampton

These figures suggest to me that we have to sell him and possibly Gally. That 130% figure only leads to one place. Unless we get significant money from ‘elsewhere’. And what or where that elsewhere is, is another matter altogether.

Being in a very small clique who saw something in him from the off I’m delighted he has confounded all his critics on here and become one of the best strikers in the modern era of SCFC. Really proud of him sitting completely on merit at the top of the scorers chart. Well done Zan
