Tbf every poll for the last 12-15 months has had them on or around the vote share they got so not really that surprising.

Yes it could have gone worse if the pollsters had been out, which is always the worry. I feel sorry for Eluned Morgan. The Senedd to a degree has its hands tied in terms of what it can do and she seems pretty open and decent, yet she seems to have paid the price for Starmer being useless and Reform looking to capitalise. Not that I'm upset about Plaid though, but again I think and radical changes will be off the cards because there isn't enough free rope away from Westminster.

Starmer seems utterly tone deaf and unwilling to accept that the results mean that people have utterly rejected him and his version of Labour.

Explain to me on devolved issues where Labour has had its hands tied.

Change of tone.

Hopefully Wales will be treated with a bit more respect as our democracy has shown more vibrancy.

Voting labour without a seconds thought hasn’t served Wales well. You have to change things, the signal it sends is key.

In terms of major policy changes not a lot of change. Especially if as expected Labour become junior partner.

My big hope with Plaid is a more broad approach for Wales as a whole and more emphasis on people on the middle not just the rank poor Labour are only interested in.

I don't know why, but I had you pigeon-holed as a Brexiteer Reform supporting member who would have known exactly how Reform were going to perform. Luckily for Wales, the polls woke up the electorate

Nah, Brexit has proven itself for ten years now to be a net minus gain for the UK. Thought it was stupid then and even more so now. Reform’s ‘take’ on pretty much everything they stand for makes me somewhat anxious about the UK’s future and the rights of people in the UK who may not be ‘seen to be British’. Disappointed that they have done so well in Wales. Second biggest party! And if we are honest (let’s be) a bit or a big bit of the PC vote is not for them but to try to resist Reform

An interesting point (taking a very crude look at the numbers), that seemed to be lost on many of the Labour people on the BBC Election programme today, is that around 40% of the voters that Labour lost (in terms of vote share since 2021) appear to have voted for Reform.

Much of the discussion was around Labour supporters ‘lending’ their support to Plaid due to the perceived ‘2 horse race’ but if you’re losing that many of your voters in the opposite direction then you probably need to be asking questions closer to home.
