Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Swans vs Bradford City in the old 4th division under Harry. We were 1-0 up and the match was abandoned either for floodlight failure air weather can’t remember but it was both madly exciting and an anticlimax rolled into one. I know Bradford were near the top and we were close to the promotion...
Brendan had a certain kind of magical aura around him - it was in the stars for us that season but he built on the groundwork of Martinez, Sousa and of course Kenny Jackett. The night the Liberty stadium truly became “home”.
Wrexham might have a big sponsorship deal with United but they have other revenue streams so maybe won’t affect them . Won’t affect Cardiff either as they’re already playing a team of ex academy players mostly.
It does mean that we should really be promoting some of our gems in the U21’s - I saw...
If last season tells us anything it’s that we need a good ball playing CB - which may allow us to play 3-5-2. Our wingers fail to deliver on a game by game basis so why not push key and Tymon further forward and pack the MF. I would consider Galbraith a CDM too by the way.
I’ve said that maybe 3-5-2 is the way to go and have wing backs instead of wingers. This current model doesnt create enough chances. Remember how Laudrups played Wayne Routledge through the middle and that coincided with some of the greatest football the swans have ever played?
I think you hit the nail squarely on the head there. Also Woodward being a local boy being very grateful and proud to get a first team game played with heart. Ronald doesn’t have the same motivation. I’d much rather the likes of TW come through the ranks and try their hardest even if sometimes...
The quality of ball for each of Idah’s goals must have given Vipotnik some real optimism for next season.
Controversial from me but I think if we could get 15-20 million for Galbraith I’d rather him leave than Vip. He’s a great player but I’d like to see another skilful but bigger unit at CDM...
